The Super Group for Dallas Cup XXXIII is nearing completion as several more high profile squads have committed to attending the elite youth tournament.  The most recent confirmation came from the Mexico U20 National Team. Current Mexican stars Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez, Gio Dos Santos and Carlos Vela all played in past Dallas Cups and Dr Pepper Dallas Cup XXXIII will be another chance to spot the next star player from our friends south of the border.

“To have the top young talent of Mexican soccer at this year’s Dr Pepper Dallas Cup will be a great attraction to our many Hispanic soccer fans as the team plays against the caliber of top professional clubs that will be taking part in this year’s Tournament. An excellent preparation for their FIFA World Cup 2013 qualifying tournament,” stated Gordon Jago.

Club power Tigres of Mexico has also been confirmed.  Tigres fields powerful squads at many ages year in and year out at Dallas Cup and should be looked upon as a real threat to make a deep run in this year's Dallas Cup XXXIII.

Local clubs Dallas Texans and FC Dallas will also be represented in the tournament.  FC Dallas made an impressive run last year and has one of the top U19 Academy squads in the nation this year.

On a bad note, Boca Juniors of Argentina were forced to withdraw from the event due to scheduling and player issues.  The final few teams to round out the 12 team Super Group should be announced soon.
