A monster crowd of over 2,500 turned out in Fort Worth to see the TCU womens soccer team knock off Texas 3-1.  It was the third largest crowd in TCU soccer history and they went away happy campers as TCU led the entire match.

The visiting Longhorns came out on the front foot firing six shots in the opening twenty minutes of play, but it was TCU that found the net first.  Makenzie Koch headed home a perfect cross from Emma Heckendorn in the 29th minute of play.  The Horned Frogs were on their way from there.

TCU put the match away in the opening minute of the second half as they shocked Texas out of the locker room.  After stealing the opening kickoff, TCU had scored in only 14 seconds.  Heckendorn and Michelle Prokof executed a perfect one-two and Heckendorn expertly finished.  2-0 Frogs and Texas in a bad, bad way.

It was 3-0 ten minutes later.  Prokof  fed Jill Finnerty in space and the freshman picked up the ball, worked her way around a Longhorn defender and sent an on-target cross to the back post and a waiting Eryn Spencer. Her header sailed past the Longhorn keeper for the third goal of the match.

TCU wouldn't be able to go on cruise control though as Texas fought right back scoring in the 58th minute to draw within 3-1.  Chantale Campbell knocked in from close range, but that would be all for the visitors.  TCU closed out the final minutes and grabbed their first win of the Big 12 season after two losses and three draws.  The win moves TCU even with Texas on six points with two league games left to play.
