Everything was going against FC Dallas on Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia.  Down a man, down a goal.  An apparent good goal not allowed.  Yet FCD perservered and pressed scoring a goal in the 6th minute of stoppage time to earn a 2-2 draw with the Union.

Both teams scored first half goals.  The Union opened the scoring as center back Amobi Okugo leaped to head home a Williams long throw-in in the 20th minute. The goal was Okugo’s third of the season, with two coming on Williams’ throw-ins. And the assist was Williams’ fourth on throw-ins.

Dallas answered back immediately with a header of their own from a young centerback. In the 23rd minute, Walker Zimmerman scored his second goal in as many weeks on a long free kick from Michel.

The game featured 10 total yellow cards, including two to Dallas midfielder Je-Vaughn Watson, who was sent off in the 68th minute, giving the Union a man-advantage for the second straight week.  Dallas set about fighting to preserve the tie, but were unable.  Aaron Wheeler put the Union ahead 2-1 in the 87th minute on a cross from right back Sheanon Williams.

It looked like Dallas was doomed, but that "never-say-die" attitude emerged once again.  Last week it was two late goals against Sporting KC now they needed a late goal once again.

They looked to have gotten it just into injury time as a Blas Perez shot looked to have trickled across the line before being cleared.  The goal was not given despite replays showing the ball did indeed cross the goal line. Dallas pressed on though ans scored the huge goal in the 96th minute as Perez rose to head home from close range.
