Dallas Sidekicks back on a roll

It has certainly been a roller coaster of a season so far as the Sidekicks zip along the opening MASL season. After getting blasted in their season opener Dallas went on an 8 game winning streak.  From there they suffered 4 defeats in a row only to bounce right back with 3 straight wins to sit currently at 11-5 for the year.

Dallas swept a pair from Brownsville over the weekend.  Saturday Dallas ran out comfortable 9-5 winners on the back of a 5 goal opening period.  Cameron Brown scored 3 goals in the win while Freddy Moojen had 2 goals and 2 assists on the night.  On Sunday again the Sidekicks jumped to a solid lead and then held off a late rally to beat Brownsville 7-6.  Freddy Moojen notched a hat trick in the important win.

The previous three wins have vaulted the Sidekicks into 2nd place in the MASL Southern Division where they trail Monterrey by 3 games.  Dallas holds a slim half game lead over Texas Oxford City.  The two teams will meet February 7th in a clash that will most likely decide 2nd place and important playoff seeding.  Before that the team makes a quick road trip to face a very average Saltillo squad this coming weekend.
