District 7-6A roundup - Coppell sends a clear message

Published 2/14/2015 11:38:56 AM by from

Consider it message sent.  Coppell made it very clear that they are the class of District 7-6A as they spun off the Colleyville Heritage winning 4-0 in grand fashion.  It puts the Cowboys in clear control of the district title race.  Meanwhile, Southlake also sent the message that they will be a top three team as well when they smashed upstarts Haltom 3-0.  The upset of the night saw winless Trinity take out Richland 2-0.

Coppell 4  Colleyville Heritage 0
Crunch.  A perfect five wins in five with a whopping plus 21 goal differential.  They are at another level it looks.  Heritage will need to bounce back fast to solidify their hold on second place.

Southlake 3  Haltom 0
No worries from the Dragons as goals from Nat Kajiwara, Cole Manning and Calvin Herd lifted them past Haltom and into clear control of 3rd place.  Hot on the heels of Colleyville Heritage once again.

Trinity 2  Richland 0
Upset city.  Finally the Trojans got some offense to go along with a pretty good defense.  Richland slumps to 6th place with the disappointing loss.  The scramble is on for the fourth playoff spot from the district.
