FC Dallas and the Vancouver Whitecaps agreed to a swap of veterans as striker Blas Perez was moved in exchange for midfielder Mauro Rosales.  It looks to be a solid move for both sides as each pick up a veteran presence in an area where they needed to add depth.

Blas Perez was a longtime member of FC Dallas, but got caught up in the highly successful youth movement going on in the club which saw the youngest roster in the entire MLS burst onto the scene.  Vancouver decided to take advantage and acquire the crafty veteran.

On the other side, FC Dallas has been bosltering their midfield as they look ahead to a busier 2016 with the CONCACAF Champions League.  Mauro Rosales will give them a solid presence in the midfield and also a quality mentor to the talented youngsters on the FCD roster.

Vancouver management were excited to add the veteran presence of Perez.  Whitecaps coach Carl Robinson said "We know Blas is an excellent player from playing against him in the past four years and we're excited to get the chance to work with him on a daily basis. In the short period of time that he's been here, he's shown how he can help our team, and also our group of forwards improve. We're delighted to have him on board and the guys have welcomed him with open arms."
