The TCU womens soccer team is off to a solid start for the 2017 season running out to a 3-1 record after a Colorado road trip last weekend.  A successful homestand opened the season with two wins followed by a split away from home.

TCU began the season with a pair of dominating wins on home turf at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium downing both Louisiana Monroe and UT San Antonio by identical 5-0 scorelines.  A whopping 28 players saw action in the victories with 11 players notching either a goal or an assist.  Now that is depth!

The team then hit the road for a good test in Colorado as they travelled to Colorado and Northern Colorado.  The opening match was a battle and ended in the 1st loss of the season, but the scoreline did not really show the true match. Despite the 1-0 loss, TCU dominated much of the game outshooting CU 14-7 on the day.

TCU would bounce right back though as two days later they dispatched Northern Colorado 2-1. It was another good test for the young team as TCU would trail at halftime. The second half would see a furious rally as goals from Karitas Tomasdottir and Emma Heckendorn would provide the winning margin.

Next up for TCU is a three match homestand with Ball State, Missouri and Northeastern coming to Fort Worth.  A great opportunity to push the record to 5-1 and claim an SEC scalp in Mizzou.
