Southlake and Marcus make moves in District 5-6A Soccer

Well, just as you think you might know, you don’t.  Week one of soccer action in District 5-6A gave us some interesting results that looked to have possibly established some favorites in the district playoff and title race with Trinity and Flower Mound racing out of the gates.  After week two we all found out that simply was not the case as the table became quite tighter.

Trinity raced out with two solid road victories in the opening week only to follow it up with only a single point from the week two matches.  Southlake shockingly lost both opening week games, but turned around in grand fashion with a pair of wins this week.  LD Bell pulled off the shocker of the young season by taking out Flower Mound last night.  FM Marcus had a big week winning both matches and rebounding nicely from their opening night home loss to Trinity.

Is this the wildness to expect every week going forward?  It will sure make for an entertaining district race, but certainly will give fans, parents and coaches some grey hairs!  So after four game days the picture has become more crowded and jumbled as six teams are only separated by three points in the standings.
