It was a four for four night as the girls teams from District 4-5A swept all the opening round playoff games against southern rivals from District 3-5A.

Keller Central got the party started as they rolled past District 4-5A champions Arlington Martin in a game played at Pennington Field 3-1.  Central jumped ahead after only 11 minutes of play when Bri Carruba picked up a ball inside the penalty area and scored firing just past Martin keeper Wasden.  It took only two minutes for the lead to be doubled.  Carrington Elliott's shot was tapped home by Caitlin Davis and Central were on their way.

Central nailed the door shut on a set piece in the 70th minute. Kristina Schulz’s corner kick found Hannah Allred unmarked in the middle of the box and she headed firmly home to make it 3-0 Chargers. Mary Moore scored late for the Warriors to make the final score 3-1.  Central next faces Midland.

Southlake blasted Arlington Lamar 5-0 Friday night as the Dragons opened what they feel will be a long playoff run in grand fashion.  It only took 17 seconds for Southlake to jump in front in what was never a close game.  Grace Cory notched two goals and an assist while Allie Luna scored twice in the convincing victory.  Next up for Southlake is a matchup with Odessa in Abilene.

Keller Timber Creek won impressively shutting out the 2nd paced squad from 3-5A Arlington.  A pair of first half goals lifted the girls.  They'll face Odessa Permian who blasted El Paso Montwood 4-0 in their opening round match.

The final winner from District 4-5A was Keller who blasted hapless Weatherford 6-0 who looked completely lost in their playoff matchup.  This one was a massacre right from the start as Keller cruised into the next round.  Next up for Keller is San Angelo Central who upset District 1-5A champs El Paso Franklin.
