Well finally FC Dallas has made a bit of a splash in the transfer market.  They have signed Peru international goalkeeper Raul Fernandez.  The 27 year old was signed to take the place of longtime MLS netminder Kevin Hartman who was not resigned this offseason.

Raul Fernandez brings 27 caps for Peru.  He has been the starter so far in six of the nine Peru World Cup qualifying matches for Brazil 2014.

“I talked to the coach of the Peru national team, who is a friend, many times about him and what kind of individual he is,” FC Dallas's Fernando Clavijo said. “He’s a young goalkeeper with only positive things from everyone I talked to. I’m excited to have a goalkeeper of this level to join a group of goalkeepers at FC Dallas that we’re extremely excited to have.”

Despite being just 27 years old, Fernández is now the veteran of the Dallas goalkeeping stable alongside two talented youngsters in Chris Seitz and Richard Sanchez.
