Big news my friends.  Real Madrid with Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale will be coming to North Texas in July!  They will be taking part in the 2014 International Champions Cup to be played across the United States this summer.

The 2014 International Champions Cup involves eight European powers playing a preseason tournament.  Liverpool, Manchester United, AC Milan, Manchester City and Real Madrid are all confirmed.

We here in North Texas will be treated to one match.  As bad a general manager as Jerry Jones has been for the Dallas Cowboys over the last decade, we must thank him for building that huge stadium in Arlington.  It has allowed us to see some wonderful soccer games that we would not have gotten otherwise.  This time we get Real Madrid against AS Roma on July 29th.

Hopefully both sides will be at full strength.  That might not be the case with the World Cup being played the month before.  Some players might be getting rest after the World Cup.  Hopefully there is enough time between this match and the World Cup that the Cristiano Ronaldo's are back from the rest.

The finals will be played August 3rd in Miami, Florida.
