Region III crowned their champions on Wednesday at the Southern Regionals as the winners punched their ticket to the National Championships July in Phoenix, Arizona.  Dallas claimed  six titles at the event.

North Texas claimed both the boys and girls titles as Sting 97 won the girls and Dallas Texans 97 took the boys title.  Sting used an early own goal from Lonestar to cruise to an easy 3-0 win against their rivals from Austin.  The Dallas Texans were just as dominant in their final win over Houstonians.  It took a bit to get going, but a goal from Ivan Alvarado got the rout going in the 40th minute of play.  Samuel Valadez scored a pair in the second half to help the Texans pull away.  Valadez led the U14 boys age in scoring notching 7 goals.

Solar 96 took the U15 championship rallying to defeat GSA Phoenix of Georgia 2-1.  Alan Winn was the hero as he scored both second half goals in the win.  Sting 96 took the girls title as they won an all North Texas battle with D'Feeters 1-0.  It was a drama filled match that wasn't decided until an 80th minute goal from Sydney Kingston.

Sting 96 was looking to make it a Sting sweep in the youngest three age groups, but came up short losing 1-0 to Hurricane FC from Oklahoma.  Neither team had allowed a single goal until the final.

Dallas Texans made it a clean sweep at the U19 age.  The Dallas Texans 92 boys won the U19 championship as they slipped past Cobb FC from Georgia 2-1 on a late Ryan Ritter goal right at the end of regulation.  The girls won an all Dallas battle as they got by Sting 92 in an overtime thriller.  After the match went to overtime scoreless there were three goals in the extra frame.  Sting took the lead in the 94th minute through Samantha Howell, Texans rallied back.  Alyssa Diggs scored in the 96th before Amanda Frisbie got the winner in the 116th minute of play.
