New SMU head coach Kevin Hudson announced his first recruiting class in charge signing seven student athletes to join the program in the fall.  The Mustangs only lose one starter from last years squad that finished 10-6-2.  SMU only signed two local players with four of the signings coming from outside the soccer talent rich state of Texas.

"We are thrilled to announce the addition of these exceptional young men," Hudson said. "We expect this class of student-athletes to make a significant impact in the 2015 season. This group contains not only elite soccer players, but also fantastic students and bright young men. I want to publicly thank SMU Assistant Coach Alex Aldaz for the hard work and dedication he displayed while helping to recruit this class. He is a major factor in why we have secured an incoming class of this quality."

Keaton Parks and Caleb Smith are the two signings from the North Texas area.  Caleb Smith is ranked as the #12 recruit in the nation by one recruiting service hails from Arlington and plays for Solar SC.  He is an NSCAA All American and a member of the US Under 17 National Team program.  Keaton Parks is from Frisco and plays for Liverpool FC.  He was a first team all State selection as a junior at Frisco Liberty HS. The other Texan coming to SMU is Andrew Ramsey of Houston Texans where he captained a top ranked defense.

Shattuck St Mary's teammates Bryan Missana and Kevin Meinecke will happily leave Minnesota for the better Texas weather next fall.  Meineke is a 6-1 left defender that should bolster the Mustang defense immediately while Missana is a goal scorer and a four star recruit.

The final two recruits are Matthew McLaughlin of Oklahoma FC and Christian Boorom of IMG Academy in Florida.  Boorom has led IMG in scoring the last two seasons.

SMU 2015 Signings:
Christian Boorom from Ft Lauderdale, Fl and IMG Academy
Matthew McLaughlin from Edmond, Ok and Oklahoma FC
Kevin Meinekce from Norwalk, Iowa and Shattuck St Mary's
Bryan Missana from Tampa, Fl and Shattuck St Mary's
Keaton Parks from Frisco, Tx and Liverpool FC
Andrew Ramsey from Spring, Tx and Houston Texans
Caleb Smith from Arlington, Tx and Solar SC
