SMU announces spring soccer schedule

The SMU men's soccer team announced its schedule of spring exhibition games Friday, a slate that will open at Frisco's Pizza Hut Park and includes four games at SMU's Westcott Field. The Mustangs open the schedule at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 26 at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco against FC Dallas. They return home to Westcott Field three days later with a 7 p.m. game against Richland College. The Mustangs, who finished the 2007 season ranked No. 5 in the final National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll, with a record of 14-5-2, will take about a month off from playing games before welcoming Tyler Community College to Westcott Field at 7 p.m., April 5. The Mustangs will follow up that game with home games at 7 p.m. April 13 against the FC Dallas reserves, and at 7 p.m. April 18 against Midwestern State.
