The SMU men made their home debut Friday evening opening the Prego's Express Italian Classic with a 2-0 win over Bradley. Goals from Brandon Pfluger and Paulo da Silva provided the difference. It was a rousing home opener for the Mustangs who have been on the road the first 2 weeks of the college soccer season. SMU got off to the perfect start against a good Bradley squad who came in with a 4-0-1 record on the young soccer season. It only took SMU 2 minutes to open the scoring as the Mustangs made Bradley pay for a free kick. Kekoa Osorio put a ball in that Paulo da Silva knocked home. Only 3 minutes later it was another set piece that would punish Bradley. This time a Payton Hickey corner kick was headed home by Brandon Pfluger to make it 2-0. That would be all SMU needed on the night as they cruised to the 2-0 victory. Next up for SMU is Cal State Northridge Sunday 3:30 at Westcott Field.
