SMU has suffered two losses so far on the youg season and both have been 1-0 decisions decided by an opponent penalty kick. SMU fell to Brown 1-0 Friday evening on the road at the adidas Brown Classic.  The decisive play came in the 33rd minute after the teams waited out a 90 minute weather delay.  Austin Mandel converted the penalty kick for Brown.

It was an exciting and evenly matched game overall though.  Shots were 14-12 Brown and SMU had 5 corners to 4 for Brown.  Brown moves to 1-0-1 on the season while the Mustangs fall to 1-2-0.   SMU will face another Ivy League opponent on Sunday morning as they face Yale before returning home next weekend to host the SMU Invitational.
