Solar Red 99s only U15 from NTx to advance

Only one of the U15 boys teams from North Texas were able to make it out of group at Dallas Cup XXXV.  My oh my how times have changed.  There used to be a time (only a few years ago in fact) that it was rare for a Dallas squad to not make it out of group at Dallas Cup.  Nowadays it is a rarity.   Solar Red 99 is the lone Dallas representative in the quarterfinals.

The seven Dallas teams posted a record of 9-9-3 in the group phases with Solar Red grabbing two wins and a draw.  At least none of the Dallas sides were shutout as every one at least posted a victory.

Solar Red will face off against the Colorado Rapids U14 Development Academy team in the quarterfinals.  The Rapids won Group B with a perfect 3-0-0 record beating FC Dallas Premier 99 2-0 Wednesday to win the bracket.  Colorado posted a 7-1 goal differential over their 3 games.

The Dallas Texans Academy team had a chance to win Bracket C but were blasted 5-2 by Las Vegas Soccer Academy on Wednesday. The other four Dallas teams all finished 3rd or lower in their brackets.
