Two from Dallas Enjoy U18 National Team Success in Australia

Dillon Powers and London Woodberry, both from Dallas, travelled with the US Under 18 National Team for the Australian Youth Olympic Festival. last week. The US Under 18s opened with a 1-1 draw with Chile. Dillon Powers played the entire 90 minutes while London Woodberry came on at halftime to help the Americans rally from a 1-0 deficit. In the 54th minute it was a Powers corner kick that led to the tying goal as Amobi Okugo scored. The second match of the tournament wasn't nearly as competetive. The US side destroyed the U17 China team 14-0. Dillon Powers had a goal and an assist in the match while Woodberry notched a goal and 2 assists. The lopsided win set up a showdown with the host Australians for the title on the last day of the event. The US Under 18s were dominant as they bolted to a 3-0 halftime lead over the Australia U18s. Powers assisted on the second goal. The second half saw more of the same as the US Under 18s claimed the Australian Youth Olympic Festival title with a 5-0 victory.
