Dallas Cup XXXIII Super Group taking shape
Published 12/23/2011 10:31:48 AM by staff from dallas
The Super Group for Dallas Cup XXXIII is taking shape and it is looking to be the strongest field in the tournament's history. So far six foreign teams have been confirmed for the field and all one can say is WOW after seeing the six. Should be a week of spectacular soccer.
The English Premier League will be represented by Everton and Manchester United. Everton won the Premier Academy League in England last year thus winning their spot in the Dallas Cup. Manchester United returns and is sure to bring a dazzling display of talent with them.
Two more European sides are also confirmed for the prestigous Dallas Cup Super Group. Eintracht Frankfurt of Germany will return after being finalists last year. We'll see if they can duplicate last year's wonderful run to the final. Paris St Germain will also be traveling across the Atlantic to take part and should provide a formidable test for the three that are drawn in their grouping.
The sixth team to commit to attending are regulars Tigres. The Mexico powerhouse have been longtime participants at Dallas Cup and are always a threat to take the title. Last year they played in the title match against Eintracht Frankfurt.
