After a difficult start to the 2014 season the TCU women turned things around in grand fashion this weekend in Fort Worth as they swept a pair of home matches.  The most impressive was Friday night as they knocked off visiting LSU 2-0 in front of 1320 fans.  Second half goals from Makenzie Koch and Michelle Prokof provided the margin of victory as Vittoria Arnold notched the shutout in goal making five saves.

"I liked the way our group came out and competed for 90 minutes," said head coach Eric Bell. "It was a total team effort. We did really well in not giving a really talented team in LSU a lot of good, quality looks at goal. Credit to the whole team for getting the shutout."

On Sunday they kept the positiive momentum going as they crushed an overmatched Abilene Christian squad 3-0.  Arnold posted her second shutout of the weekend making six saves while the goals came from Prokof, Emma Heckendom and Kela Gray.  Heckendom also notched a pair of assists to go along with her goal.

"It takes some time to gel. We have a lot of young players and we're asking them to do a lot of things they're not accustomed to doing, but things are coming together," Bell said.

TCU moves to 3-3 on the season and hit the road for a pair of matches next weekend travelling to Sam Houston State and Texas State.
