The Big XII better take notice of what is going on in Fort Worth.  The TCU Womens Soccer team is off to a perfect 5-0 start to the 2016 season and have their sights on being a factor in the very tough Big XII.  The team has already claimed some impressive scalps in the young season beating Maryland, Navy and Illinois thus far.

TCU notched two more wins this past weekend as they opened the home schedule at Garvey-Rosenthal Stadium.  On Friday TCU beat a solid Illinois team 2-1 in an exciting battle in front of over 1300 fans. A Kayla Hill penalty kick in the 73rd minute provided the winning margin.

Sunday was an easier match as TCU overwhelmed a poor Texas Southern side 7-0.  Allison Ganter notched a hat trick in the match while Michelle Prokof and Faith Carter each scored a pair.  It also marked the third shutout of the season for the TCU defense.

The five wins to open a season marks the best start in TCU soccer history.  Next weekend Washington State comes to Fort Worth for a Friday night game while Oral Roberts comes to face the Frogs on Sunday as the opening of Big XII play looms with a trip to Oklahoma to face the Sooners.
