TCU women's soccer with challenging 2013 schedule

The TCU womens soccer team looks to build upon a strong 2012 finish in 2013.  Last year TCU advanced all the way to the Big 12 Tournament championship before falling to a talented Baylor squad.  With a ton of talent returning 2013 is looking to be a breakout year for the TCU women. Returning are senior leaders of Maddy Courvoisier, Brittany Slyman and Kristen Barg as well as stud goalkeeper Vittoria Arnold.

The upcoming schedule is quite challenging though with six teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament.  A difficult start is defined by four straight road matches to open the season.  The opening weekend holds a trip to Montana where TCU will face off against Wyoming and Air Force.  The following weekend the team heads south to play at LSU and Houston Baptist.

The home opened is September 6th as Illinois State comes to Fort Worth followed by UNT on the 8th.  TCU heads over to Dallas to face rivals SMU on September 12th before closing out the non-conference slate with home games against Arkansas, Denver and Central Arkansas.

Then comes Big 12 play and it opens on the hard side again as TCU plays four of their opening five conference games on the road.  At Texas, at Texas Tech before coming home for Oklahoma State.  Then at Kansas and at West Virginia.  If the Lady Frogs can survive that stretch they will be sitting pretty as they finish with three at home.  Oklahoma, Iowa State and finally Baylor.

Postseason play begins Nov. 6 at the Big 12 Tournament. A change of venue highlights this year's tournament as the top eight teams will head north to Sporting Park in Kansas City, Missouri.
