The TCU womens soccer team opened the season in solid fashion this past weekend as they defeated Xavier and tied Mississippi. On Friday, The Lady Frogs demolished visiting Xavier by a 3-0 score. A pair of first half goals sealed the deal as freshman Jordan Calhoun scored in the 17th and 45th minutes. Jackie Torda capped off the night with a 55th minute header. On Sunday the Frogs found themselves down 2-0 in the second half and needed a rally to earn a result. Freshman Katie Runyon got the Lady Frogs on the board and ignited the comeback. Only a minute later Jordan Calhoun tied the game off an assist from Chelsea Cody. Last weekend TCU defeated Stephen F Austin 5-0 in their season opener. TCU is now 2-0-1 on the young soccer season. Next up is a trip to face Arizona State this weekend.
