The TCU Womens Soccer team faced their first big Mountain West Conference roadtrip of the year and came away with a tough loss at Wyoming and a solid win at Air Force. On Fridat the Lady Frogs faced a though Wyoming squad in cold and windy conditions. TCU had several quality chances, but were unable to find the net as Jordan Calhoun, Alex Mechalske, Michelle Nguyen and Chelsea Cody all had near misses. A late goal from Tamika Wilson stole the match for Wyoming who moved to 2-0-0 in conference play. The Lady Frogs would rebound nicely on Sunday though as they rode 3 second half goals to 3-1 win over Air Force in Colorado Springs. Air Force jumped to an early lead just 2 minutes into the match as Roni Yadlin scored. The second half was all TCU though as Carloyn Starns evened the score in the 61st minute and it was only 3 minutes later that Jordan Calhoun gave the girls their lead off a pass from Chelsea Cody. Katie Taylor scored her first career goal, booming a shot into the back of the net in the 74th minute from the right corner of the box off a pass from Cody to make it 3-1. For the match, TCU outshot Air Force, 22-8, including 14-6 in the second half. The Horned Frogs, who moved to 10-2-1 overall and 2-1-0 in Mountain West Conference play, have now posted the most wins in program history since 2000. With the loss, the Falcons dropped to 3-10-0 and 0-3-0 in conference action.
