USC came into Fort Worth and escaped with a hard fought 1-0 victory in front of 2,318 at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium. It was the 2nd largest crowd in TCU soccer history and they were treated to a wide open match. TCU almost opened the scoring in the 13th minute as Jordan Calhoun got on the end of a cross only to see USC's Shelby Church make the save. USC would find the goal that would turn out to be the winner just before halftime. Ashli Sandoval scored from just inside the penalty area. TCU forced Church into action in the 2nd half as the USC keeper made a diving save denying Kim Castleberry of TCU. A last gasped effort in the waning minute by Calhoun was once again denied by a sprawling Church as USC slipped out with a 1-0 victory.
