The TCU women lost a heartbreaker falling at San Diego State 1-0 in overtime.  It was the Mountain West opener for both sides and it was pretty much a dead even match the whole way.  Both sides had their moments.   TCU missed on several scoring chances throughout the match, including a shot by Jordan Calhoun in the first overtime period that hit the post.

Senior Jackie Torda appeared to have given the Horned Frogs a 1-0 victory late in the second half, but her shot in the 87th minute was denied by the crossbar. SDSU held a slight advantage in shot attempts on Friday night, 21-15. Torda and Calhoun both posted three shots apiece, respectively.

The deciding moment came In the 108th minute, Sarah Halverson netted the gamewinner off an assist from Michaela Dejesus from 25 yards out into the upper left corner of the goal.   With the loss, TCU moved to 5-6-1 on the year and 0-1-0 in conference play. San Diego State improved to 3-7-3 overall and 1-0-0 in conference action.   The Horned Frogs will look to get back to their winning ways on Sunday against Houston Baptist.
