TCU women defeat Rice 2-1

The 26th ranked TCU womens soccer team travelled to Houston and defeated Rice 2-1 behind goals from Lizzy Karoly and Kaylie Garcia. Rice had jumped out to an early lead in only the 2nd minute of play as Korey Taylor put the home side on the board. The lead would hold up well into the 2nd half. In the 79th minute TCU would even the score as Lizzy Karoly scored off an assist from Jordan Calhoun. Just 5 minutes later TCU would shock the home crowd as Kaylie Garcia would grab the winner. TCU outshot Rice 25-8 on the night and generally dominated play throughout. TCU is now 4-1-0 on the season. Next up for the Lady Frogs is a trip to face Colorado College next weekend.
