Tournaments Take Center Stage in Week 2 of 2009 High School Soccer

The LD Bell girls soccer team won the Irving Tournament defeating Mansfield Summit 1-0 on a goal from Anjadai Seals. The championship moves LD Bell to 7-0-1 on the year. Birdville won the Aledo Tournament of Champions with a 2-1 win over Mansfield Legacy. Birdville moves to 9-1 on the season. The Richardson Ice Bowl crowned three winners on the weekend. Garland Naaman Forest took Group A beating Terrell 1-0, while Belton won Group B over Richardson Berkner. The Group C win went to Trinity with a 3-1 victory over Sunset. BOYS -
Top ranked Dallas Jesuit won the Duncanville Tournament with a 3-0 win over Lake Highlands behind goals from Nate Dombrowski, Bill O'Dwyer and Mark Daus. Hebron won the Denton Guyer Tournament beting Colleyville Heritage in the final. The Richardson Ice Bowl had Coppell beating Frisco Centennial 2-1 to take Group B while Red Oak won the Aledo Tournament of Champions beating Arlington Heights 1-0.
