The Trinity girls soccer team put on a dominant display as they took care of rivals LD Bell Tuesday night at Pennington Field by a score of 2-0.  Anna Flobeck and Destinee Williamson led the attack as Trinity was in good form.

LD Bell's defense held tight the opening 20 minutes despite being pinned in most of the time.  Trinity finally broke through with a bit of luck as a Sydney Hutchison left footed cross floated over Bell keeper Sarah Moyorga and into the back of the net.

Just before the break Trinity would double their lead.  A perfect corner kick found the onrushing Anna Flobeck who turned the ball into the net.  The match went 2-0 to halftime.

The Raiders would open the second half on the front foot and put some pressure on Trinity.  The push only lasted about ten minutes before Trinity took control once again.

Trinity nearly made it 3-0 as Williamson put in a perfect cross that Anna Flobeck headed on goal.  Mayorga got a hand on the header keeping it from the goal before turning and clearing the ball off the goal line.  The save gave LD Bell a bit of momentum and a miscommunication in the Trinity back almost allowed the Bell back into the game.

A long free kick got behind the Trojan defense where a defender and keeper were not on the same page.  It allowed Gannon Beaty to slip in and flick the ball on goal where it came back off the crossbar to the groans of the Raider fans.  That would be the bet chance of the match for LD Bell as Trinity had no problem seeing the match out from there for the 2-0 win.
